Our core values are to combine creativity and beauty with compassion. That’s our way and our attitude. Collections and projects are born from the passion and creativity and the wish to make beautiful and cheery things. Then we think about how we can make something good of it; could this benefit anyone, could this make you reflect and consider life? We add a meaning and make a rather shallow thing, as an accessory or likely, less shallow and more meaningful. Like with NORDIC, we adapt an old nature respecting culture’s style to our time and hopefully when you wear the pieces you feel and remember Mother Nature’s power and our heritage. And when we developed the production we wanted to find a way that could benefit people involved and make a state of the possibility to trade and work in countries with problems.
South Africa is one of our choices. It is struggle in many ways to cooperate in a country on the opposite if the world (from Sweden) but that is nothing compared to what the country has to struggle with. For several reasons the women needs jobs and an own income. If LITTMARCK can be a small part of increasing the job opportunities for women, we want to do that.
One thing leads to another and new partnerships and friendships comes along with that. One of them is Lisa in Kenya and we just recently we got a load of Kikois, a Kenyan cotton shawl, to the studio. We love them already!
LITTMARCK Swedish treasure & design, but just LITTMARCK is ok, was founded winter 2006 in Stockholm, Sweden by Maja Littmarck, born 1985 in Stockholm, who is now the designer and soul of the company. In the studio these days you may also find the new arrival and creation assistant Nathalia. From small temporary studios in Stockholm and the sea town Vaxholm the company is now to be found in an ancient building in the just as ancient and beautiful old part of Stockholm city.

We like to work with color, nice raw materials and a bit of traditions. The collection NORDIC is typical Scandinavian ethno style and we added the colors to get more feeling. New Studio in Stockholm city
New studio for LITTMARCK Swedish Treasure & Design! An ancient palace, what could be better for the creativity?
As the company grown we simply did not fit in our old studio in Vaxholm anymore, so we started looking for something new… something bigger… closer to the centre of Stockholm… a bit more royal maybe… a wine cellar is always nice. It didn’t take long until we realized: we need a Palace. We made some calls, moved some stuff and now we are here, up and running at Munkbrogatan 2 in Piperska Palatset. We love it already and feel that this anxious air inspires us to create new things! Mának, Bijdas, Fierro and Labbá are the new arrivals this spring, hope you like them!
